The Fundamentals of Drawing
In this workshop we explore the visual "art language" (namely the elements of line, shape, space, value, form, texture, and colour). This forms the visual foundation for understanding and creating art and can be applied to any media including photography. This is a great workshop if you are beginner.
Monthly Life Drawing Saturday Group
A monthly life drawing session where you will have the opportunity to work on a long pose and be coached according to your level and experience. All are welcome - whether you are an absolute beginner to drawing or a professional artist wishing to practice and not receive tuition.
The Sketchbook - The Drawing Habit
This workshop looks at how masters have used the habit of drawing to understand the world and themselves better. We will then explore the sketchbook as a useful practice and provide recommended approaches to creating one's own personal drawing habit
We will explore how masters moved their art from technical representation to creating their own style and expression. In learning about their journey and the evolution of their art, you will not only gain a better art appreciation but with some technical exercises think of ways you can take your own creative practice to another level.
Sketching Winnie the Pooh's Forest
Take the time out to be inspired by the forest that once inspired A.A. Milne and E.H. Shepard. In this stunning classroom, learn the art of focus, observation and drawing where you will be coached according to your level and style of mark making.
Line and the Machine
We will be drawing classic cars in collaboration with an independent local dealer specializing in Sports and Classic cars. You will practice perspective whilst appreciating the machine up close.
